In the post it says, “Apple disabled the carrier file exploit that people had been using to acheive tethering with their iPhones on AT&T.” This sentence is talking about the jailbreak! The exploit that tethering apps were using ceases to exist, so jailbreaking won’t let you tether. However, some new exploits have been found probably. Please read the article to avoid any confusion. Thanks!

Look at the situation. Apple isn’t losing money from having Palm let Pre’s sync with iTunes – they’re gaining money! That’s because users are drawn to new Apple products, to the iTunes Store, etc. The iTunes Store is one of the main revenue-generating products of Apple, and with Pre’s syncing to iTunes, Apple is going to get more users in the iTunes Store, and thus, more revenue.
